Tianna Negre

Our story

Our mother came from a country family. She inherited a small 35 years old vineyard in the village of Consell, planted exclusively with autochthonous Manto Negro grapes. Our family, remembering how she treasured this little plot, started to dream about building a winery to make our own wines. With perseverance and enthusiasm, Tianna Negre opened its doors to its first harvest in September 2007. Since then, through the aquisition of new land, the family estate was expanded. The whole process was carried out respecting the terroir and preserving local grape varieties and traditional wine making processes. Our main objective was to create wines reflecting the strength of the local grapes that would convey the essence of the island of Mallorca, simultaneously showing a renewed vision for the future.

Main characteristics of production

We own 55 hectares of vineyard located in the regions of Binissalem and Consell. Their roots lay in calcareous lime rich soils with a characteristic reddish colour and a very good draining capacity. The whole work in the vineyard is handmade and grapes are maually picked. We mainly work with the native grape varieties: Manto Negro, Callet, Gorogollassa and Escurçac as reds and Moll or Prensal Blanc, Giró Ros and Moscatell de Frontignac as whites.
